DESIGNER PROFILE

Leanne Culy

Details:

The consistent theme that informs Leanne’s work is to create a contemporary totem of tales about life past and present using colourful stripes, graphic images, symbols and paintings.

She paints these stories onto old oars, transforming them into works of art. The oars are photographed and printed on archival photo rag paper in limited editions.

This process captures the essence of the original oar while creating a new artefact containing both history and narrative. The print is beautifully framed with attention to quality.
