The clean design of the colour contrasting jelly tip bowl is strong and contemporary. The elevation of the bowl, sitting on a pedestal, is both practical as well as visually pleasing, making the bowl hover on a table as a centre piece. The name Jelly tip derives from the slightly squashed shape, confirmation that it is made by hand.

Most artists and designers stick to one medium or method to produce their creations. Susannah Bridges mixes ceramics, concrete, structural steel, copper and fabrics to create her range of lighting, furniture and large-scale sculpture.
From her studio in Waitakere in West Auckland Susannah creates a mix of hard and strong, delicate and light-filled objects.
There is aestheticism within the mix of hard surfaces ranging from matt to gloss that belies their functionality.
Susannah’s scale of work is wide-ranging, from large landscape sculptures through to delicate tactile lighting.
