Most artists and designers stick to one medium or method to produce their creations. Susannah Bridges mixes ceramics, concrete, structural steel, copper and fabrics to create her range of lighting and sculpture.

From her studio in Waitakere in West Auckland, she creates a mix of hard and strong, delicate and light-filled. There’s aestheticism within the mix of hard surfaces ranging from matt to gloss that belies their functionality. Susannah’s scale of work is wide-ranging, from large landscape sculptures through to delicate lighting.
