As one of New Zealand's most conceptually and technically accomplished glass artists, John Penman's work incorporates advanced Italian techniques, Chinese design influences and vibrant Pacific colours.

Growing up in both Aotearoa, New Zealand and Hong Kong, John's work reflects the sights and sounds of exotic Far East and the contrasting rugged natural beauty of New Zealand.

Working from his Auckland based studio, John constantly experiments with different materials and their expressive aesthetic qualities, creating unique and distinct art glass.
