Captivated by glass and its form from an early age when he watched a glowing vessel emerge from a blazing kiln, Jan Kocian blows and sculps his glass actively, choosing a range of wooden moulds to smoothly shape blown pieces and purpose built steel tools for sculpting.

Jan's handmade works of art are skillfully formed in the searing 1100 celsius heat of his purpose built kiln in his rustic Coromandel township studio.
